Winifred Halsey
Principal
MS in Biology specializing in Clinical Microbiology/Biotechnology

Since founding Winifred Halsey & Associates in 1987, Winifred Halsey has been providing clients, particularly in the high-tech industries, with business intelligence and market research. Winifred Halsey has been part of Motorola's acclaimed Business Intelligence team since 1987. She was also associated with NutraSweet's well-known Competitive Intelligence group for over a dozen years.

Prior to starting her own firm, Winifred Halsey held various managerial and research positions at: Amersham Corporation, Baxter Laboratories, Abbott Laboratories, Northwestern University Memorial Hospital and Loyola University Medical Center.

In addition to Ms. Halsey's education and work experience in medical research and
biotechnology, her long association with Motorola has given her keen insight into the
semiconductor and telecommunications industries. The years she was associated with
NutraSweet and Kraft General Foods have added expertise in researching the food industry.

Winifred Halsey was also a member of the Illinois Biotechnology Strategic Planning Committee in 1998. This strategy group was formed to give Illinois decisions makers information and analysis on the biotechnology landscape in Illinois as well as presenting ways in which they could draw more biotech companies to the region.

Mary Groft
Associate
Master's in Library Science

Ms. Groft is the founder of Information Age Resources. Her educational background includes a Master's Degree in Library Science, and ten years experience as a manager of an information and research services center for the Chicago office of a Big Six accounting firm. Since founding Information Age in 1990, Ms. Groft has provided primary and secondary business research and analysis for companies in the food, consumer products, telecommunications, energy, healthcare, venture capital funding industries. For over ten years she was a member of Motorola's well-known Business Intelligence Group.

Sean Kittrell
Associate
Master's in Art History

Ms. Kittrell has been active in the information research and analysis industry for over nine years. She has done research ranging from technical to historical. She is knowledgeable in both online and offline sources, including information from government agencies. Ms. Kittrell has a Master of Arts in Art History, with a strong background in academic research, writing and composition, and Library Sciences.
